Community Guidelines
Last updated: April 5, 2026
Log Off Club is built on a simple idea: social media should be for real humans having real conversations. These guidelines keep our community safe, authentic, and respectful for everyone.
Our core principle: Every interaction on Log Off Club is biometrically verified. When you see a post, comment, or message — a real person created it.
1. Be Authentic
- Use your real identity. Your account must represent a real person. No fake accounts, parody accounts, or accounts created on behalf of someone else without their explicit consent.
- One person, one account. Each person may only have one Log Off Club account.
- Share genuine content. Post content that you created or have the right to share. Give credit where it's due.
- Don't impersonate others. Do not pretend to be another person, brand, or organization.
2. Be Respectful
- Treat everyone with kindness. Disagree respectfully. You can challenge ideas without attacking people.
- No harassment or bullying. Do not target, intimidate, or repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop.
- No hate speech. Content that promotes violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or medical condition is prohibited.
- Respect privacy. Do not share other people's personal information (addresses, phone numbers, photos) without their consent.
- No unwanted sexual content. Do not send unsolicited sexual messages or images.
3. Keep It Safe
- No violence. Do not post graphic violence, threats of violence, or content that glorifies violence.
- No self-harm content. Content that promotes or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders is not allowed. If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988).
- Protect minors. Content that sexually exploits or endangers minors is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
- No illegal activities. Do not use Log Off Club to facilitate illegal activity, including but not limited to selling controlled substances, weapons, or stolen goods.
- No dangerous challenges. Do not promote challenges or activities that could result in physical harm.
4. Humans Only
Log Off Club exists because we believe social media should be a place for real people. To keep it that way:
- No bots or automation. Do not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to create content, send messages, follow/unfollow users, or interact with the platform.
- No fake or manipulated media. Do not post synthetic or manipulated media that depicts real people doing or saying things they did not do or say.
- No automated engagement. Do not use tools that automatically like, comment, or share content.
- Be the one typing. When you post or message someone, it should be you — not a script, not a service, not someone else on your account.
5. Content Ownership & Copyright
- Share only what you own. Do not post content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights.
- Give credit. If you share someone else's work (with permission), credit the original creator.
- DMCA compliance. We respond to valid copyright infringement notices. See our DMCA policy for the full procedure and counter-notice instructions, or email dmca@thelogoffclub.com.
- Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated under our repeat-infringer policy.
6. Spam & Commercial Activity
- No spam. Do not post repetitive, misleading, or unsolicited promotional content.
- No unauthorized ads. Do not use Log Off Club for unauthorized advertising, marketing, or solicitation.
- No scams. Do not deceive others for financial gain, spread misinformation, or run fraudulent schemes.
7. Reporting & Enforcement
How to report (account holders): Tap the three-dot menu on any post or profile and select "Report."
How to report (no account): Use our public form at /report — you do not need to be a Log Off Club user to file a report.
What happens when you report: Our team reviews every report. We aim to acknowledge receipt within 5 business days, take action within 24 hours for safety-critical reports, and complete review of routine reports within 30 days.
Enforcement actions may include:
- Content removal or visibility restriction
- Warning notification
- Temporary account suspension (24 hours to 30 days)
- Permanent account ban
- Reporting to law enforcement (for illegal content or imminent safety threats)
- Reporting suspected child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or equivalent national authority
Statement of reasons: When we take action against your content or account, we will give you a clear explanation of the rule violated, the factual basis, and how to appeal.
Appeals: Appeals are free and available for 6 months after the action. Email logoffclubcontact@gmail.com with the subject "Appeal" and a description of why you believe the decision was wrong. We will review in good faith and respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines to address new behaviors or challenges. We will notify users of material changes through the App. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
Together, we're building something different — a social network that's actually social. Thank you for being part of Log Off Club.
